E is for Evening Shoot #AtoZChallenge

This is a young friend I've been photographing for two years. She loves to find new locations and took me to a sand dune near my house last fall to shoot senior pics. How I have lived here for 8 years and did not know about this spot is beyond me. We had been shooting all afternoon and this was our last stop in a race against sundown. I love how this one turned out. It doesn't hurt that she is the cutest thing on two legs.

This day reminded me how important it is to have friends of all ages and from all walks of life. They know things.

What have you learned from your friends? Do you find new places where you live and wonder how it escaped you?

love, susan

  1. well, at this point, I am pretty familiar with what is available around me. What I hate is when I get home from a trip and discover something that was close by that I didn't see.

    1. Oh, yeah, me too! I'm traveling to Nashville in about two weeks. We have tickets for grand ole opry and the ryman but beyond that, nothing planned yet. There is almost too much to see in one trip.

I love finding things like the community garden at our local library. I lived here probably 4 years before I knew about it. It's now one of my favorite locations for photos.

  2. What is so sad that you know what is around you but never go. I am guilty of this. Need to get a kick in fanny and just go.
